minimum impact - leave no trace

The concept of minimal impact ou "leave no trace"It is an approach that aims to reduce or eliminate the negative effects of human activities on the environment. It is often applied in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and climbing to minimize human impact on natural ecosystems.

The idea is that, by adopting sustainable and responsible practices, the environmental impacts of these activities can be reduced to the minimum possible, preserving nature and ensuring its conservation for future generations.

Minimum impact principles include: proper planning and preparation, respect for nature and local culture, minimization of the use of natural resources, proper waste management, choice of established trails and routes, respect for local rules and environmental legislation, and sharing knowledge and best practices with other travellers.

The aim is to leave the natural environment exactly as it was found, so that other people can enjoy it in the future. This practice is important to preserve the beauty and integrity of natural ecosystems and to ensure that they can be enjoyed by future generations.
The 7 principles of minimum impact
  1. Plan and prepare: plan the trip in advance and prepare accordingly to minimize the environmental impact.

  2. Hike on designated trails: Stay on designated trails to minimize disturbance to the natural environment.

  3. Dispose of Garbage Properly: Take all garbage back home and dispose of it properly.

  4. Leave the environment as found: do not leave marks in the natural environment, nor remove plants, rocks or other objects.

  5. Minimize the use of fires: cook with portable stoves and do not build fires in the natural environment.

  6. Respect wildlife: observe animals from a distance and do not feed them.

  7. Be a good visitor: respect the rules of the place, be courteous to other visitors and not disturb the peace of the natural environment.

We are aware of the challenges in operating sustainably. Tourism has a significant impact and depends on a comprehensive infrastructure that ranges from community development to national policies. Based on our years of experience, we understand that achieving sustainable results requires a collective effort. It is up to all of us to act in harmony, making conscious and responsible choices to protect and value the precious gift that is nature.
